In Matthew 8, Jesus reveals His authority over comfort, creation, and the powers of darkness. As the disciples journey to “the other side,” they discover that following Jesus is often costly, uncomfortable, and beyond their control. Yet through every scene, Matthew points us to the same truth: there is nothing outside the authority of Christ.
